A group of 15 men allegedly attacked a dalit man and his son and forced to drink urine in Barmer

A Dalit man and his son were beaten and forcefully fed urine by a group of fifteen men in Barmer Rajasthan on Saturday.

 

The police officials said that the accused also allegedly pitch casteist insult at the father-son duo.

 

As per the FIR registered by the police, father-son duo named Raichand Meghwal and his son Ramesh were buying groceries at a store in Gohad Ka Tala village under Bijrad police station in Barmer.

 

Suddenly, they were attacked by at least a group15 men and forced them to drink urine as well as humiliated the duo using caste slurs.

 

While Raichand Meghwal got hit on the head and also lost a toothache his son fractured his leg and also sustained few injuries to his hand.

 

They were brought to Chauhatan for immediate medical care and then shifted to the Government Medical College in Barmer for further medical treatment.

 

Based on the FIR, the police have registered a case against those 15 people, including one Khet Singh, who is the prime suspect in the case as well the case is suspected it to be of old rivalry.
