Delhi: Gas cylinder explosion in Mangolpuri area, 13 injured

Fire department officials said three fire tenders were rushed to the spot.

At least thirteen people were injured following a gas cylinder blast at a house on Saturday in Delhi's Mangolpuri area.

According to reports, the Deputy Commission of Police said, "The house belongs to a named Ganesh. His wife Savitri was reported changing the gas cylinder when it exploded due to leakage."

"Three fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the blaze," the fire department official informed.

The injured were Savitri, Sachin, Geeta, Prince, Laxmi, Vinod, Vivek, Chhatarpal, Sanju, Sandhya, Nirmala, Mahima and Monishka, who were later rushed to the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, the police stated.

Soon, four of them - Savitri, Sachin, Geeta and Prince who sustained major burn injuries were transferred to the Safdurjung Hospital.
