Delta airlines not happy sharing name with COVID variant

The Mexican beer brand “Corona” was also unhappy with the name 'corona'.

Airlines are trying to put the COVID-19 pandemic behind them. For Delta Air Lines Inc., by virtue of its name, it may be a bit harder.

COVID-19 has a lot of variants, one of them is B.1.617.2, named “Delta” by WHO for easy recognition. This was done so as to give a name for easy understanding by countries all over the world.

It was discovered in India and has harmed a lot of people as it was easily transmissible. It was even harming the people who were vaccinated.

However, the CEO of the Delta Airlines said they would use it just as a variant as it shared names with the airlines company.

Not only the airline company, the Mexican beer brand “Corona” was also unhappy with the name corona given to the virus.

In a study it is also found that the Delta variant will peak in September and this variant is the most spread variant in the US right now.
