Subha Shasthi marks the beginning of Durga Puja which is celebrated with great pomp and show.
The sixth day or the Maha Shashthi of Durga Puja when Devi Bodhon is conducted and the face of Ma Durga is revealed.
And, the devotees believes that Goddess Durga enters the mortal world on this auspicious after completimg her journey in Kailash.
On Maha Shashti, the four sky significant rituals of the Durga Puja festival is performed.
The day starts with Kalparamva (the starting of the Pujas), followed by other rituals including Badhan (consecration of the idol of goddess Durga), Amantran (inviting the goddess), and Adhibas (sanctifying the stay of the Goddess in the pandals) are performed.
The day of Maha Shasthi, especially in the northern and eastern part of India celebrated with cultural programs.
