While performing a caesarean operation, doctors at a government medical college allegedly left a cloth in a patient's stomach.
Currently the woman’s health is in a very critical condition. She has been admitted to the trauma centre of King George Medical college and has been put on a ventilator.
The complaint was filed by the husband when his wife Neelam, who is in her 30’s, gave birth to a girl child on 6th January, and during the operation the cloth was left in the stomach. They are residents of Rampur North.
Taking note of the situation, the principal of the medical college has made a three-member team to conduct an enquiry and will submit a report to him at the earliest.
He also said that whoever has done this mistake, serious legal actions will be taken against them after full investigation.
Neelam used to complain of stomach pain for a very long time after the birth of their child. Later on she was admitted to a private hospital in Shahjahanpur where after a CT scan it was seen that a cloth had been left in her stomach after the operation.
