Dussehra 2021: President, Vice President PM Modi, Greet Nation on Vijaya Dashami

The President wishes that this festival brings prosperity and happiness in the lives of all the citizens

The President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, followed by Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior political leaders has extended their greetings to the country on the occasion of Vijaya Dashami.
 
On the auspicious day of Vijaya Dashami or Dussehra, President Ram Nath Kovind extended his wishes and greetings to all and said that this festival inspires us to walk on the track of morality, goodness and virtue.
 
The President of India tweeted and wishes the countrymen,"Hearty congratulations to all the countrymen on the auspicious occasion of Vijaya Dashami."
 
The tweet also said, "This festival inspires us to walk on the path of morality, goodness and virtue."
 
The President wishes that this festival brings prosperity and happiness in the lives of all the citizens.
 
Vice President, M Venkaiah Naidu also extended his wishes to the people on the occasion of Vijaya Dashami or Dussehra.
 
Vice President took to Twitter and wrote "My warm greetings on the auspicious occasion of Vijaya Dashami. Dussehra is an occasion to remind us that we need to constantly quell the demonic forces within us and foster goodness and harmony."
 
Naidu added on the same tweet, "May this festival bring peace, harmony and prosperity in our country."
 
Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the nation on the occasion of Vijaya Dashami or Dussehra.
 
PM Narendra Modi also wrote on Twitter, "Greetings to everyone on the special occasion of Vijaya Dashami."
 
The Union Home Minister, Amit Shah and the Union Defense minister, Rajnath Singh also extended their warm greetings and wishes to people.
 
Vijaya Dashami or Dussehra symbolises the victory of good over evil powers.
 
Vijaya Dashami or Dussehra is celebrated after the nine days of Shardiya Navratri festivities in the month of Ashvina of Hindu calendar.
 
This festival is celebrated several way in various parts of India.
 
Dussehra is celebrated with great pomp, show, joy and fervour nationwide  by burning the dummy figures of Ravan in open fields which signifies the victory of 'good' over 'evil'.
