Emergency like situation in Bengal: WB Gov Jagdeep Dhankhar

“There is so much fear that people don't discuss these fears," he said.

West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar hits out at Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee yet again, and said he was worried about the current state of affairs. Saying that Mamata Banerjee is ruling Bengal in an “emergency-like” manner as if it is her personal jaagir (estate), Dhankhar added that fear all around in the state.

“There is so much fear that people don't discuss these fears," the Bengal Governor said. We're sitting on a volcano, not a fortnight passes without people being killed as a consequence of illegal bomb-making, Dhankhar said.

Meanwhile, Union home minister Amit Shah has visited the residence of Ananta Roy, the chief of Greater Coochbehar Peoples' Association (GCPA), today in Assam's Chirang district, and believed to have discussed matters related to the welfare of the Koch-Rajbongshi community.
