Disha Ravi, a 21-year-old student, was on Sunday arrested by the Delhi Police in connection with Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg's 'toolkit' tweet on the ongoing farmers’ protests in India.
According to officials, Disha is one of the founders of 'Fridays for Future' old and lives in Bengaluru. She was active in allegedly disseminating the toolkit, which Thunberg had referred to in her post for the farmers and attached a Google document with details.
Delhi Police's cyber-crime cell registered an FIR on charges of "sedition", "criminal conspiracy" and "promoting hatred" against the creators of the 'toolkit'.
The cyber cell in a statement accused collaboration with pro Khalistani organisation, Poetic Justice Foundation. "In this process, they all collaborated with pro Khalistani Poetic Justice Foundation to spread disaffection against the Indian State. She was the one who shared the Toolkit Doc with Greta Thunberg," it said.
"Later, she asked Greta to remove the main Doc after its incriminating details accidentally got into public domain. This is many times more than the 2 lines editing that she claims," the police added.
