Google CEO Sundar Pichai said the company is extending its office return for employees until 18 October amidst the latest COVID-19 outbreaks.
He mailed the same to the employees and has also instructed that before joining the office they will require to get vaccinated.
Google has an employer’s base of more than 1,30,000 employees. This was the second time when the reopening date was postponed. Before this 1st September was chosen as the day when employers will be back to their office desk.
He said that they are studying the data carefully and a month ago employees will be informed about the reopening. Special case criteria will also be given to people who can work from home till the end of the year.
The delta variant is seen to spread in all the 50 states of the USA, and most of the companies have postponed their employer’s return.
