Govt of Uttar Pradesh bans sale and use of firecrackers in NCR, cities

The justice bench said that it cannot allow the violation of rights of people under the guise of enjoyment

The government of Uttar Pradesh issues a complete ban order on the sale and use of all kinds of firecrackers in the NCR and all cities where air quality falls under the 'poor' or higher category.
 
The Supreme Court bench of Justices MR Shah and AS Bopanna on Thursday has dismiss the impression that it was against a particular religious group or community by banning firecrackers.
 
The justice bench said that it cannot allow the violation of rights of people under the guise of enjoyment.
 
The Supreme Court claers that it wants full implementation of its orders. It also said, “Under the guise of enjoyment you (manufacturers) cannot play with the lives of citizens. We are not against a particular community. We want to send a strong message that we are here for the protection of fundamental rights of citizens.”
 
The bench of Justices has stated that the ban order on firecrackers was passed after giving elaborate reasons.
 
The bench of Justices further said “All firecrackers were not banned. It was in the larger public interest. There is a particular impression being created."
 
The  bench added that the ban on firecrackers should not be projected that it was banned for a particular purpose as previously they said that the court weren't coming in way of enjoyment but the court cannot come in way of fundamental rights of citizens.
