Govt promises Rs 1.2 crore to teen who suffered heart attack after vaccination

The kid will be eligible of a one-time financial assistance of Rs 1.2 crore

A 16-year-old teenager, after receiving his first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, suffered a heart attack. The government has now decided that the kid will be eligible for a one-time financial assistance of Rs 1.2 crore.

The Ministry of Health said that this amount of money will be given to teenage children under it's Singapore's Vaccine Injury Financial Assistance Programme.

According to a medical report, it was found that the child had developed acute severe myocarditis which led to cardiac arrest after a few days. It suggests that the myocarditis was likely a serious adverse event arising from the covid vaccine which might have been provoked by lifting of weights and his high consumption of caffeine through energy drinks and supplements.

The health ministry said that the teenager is currently recovering steadily and can perform daily life activities without any help and will be discharged soon. However, he will be monitored by the medical department.
