Gujarat government relaxes COVID curbs

Hotels and restaurants are now allowed to operate till 10 PM in the state.

Gujarat after seeing a drop in the COVID cases has now decided to reduce virus-related curbs in the state.

 

The fresh curbs with reduced night curfew timings will come into effect from July 31, according to Chief Minister Vijay Rupani.

 

Hotels and restaurants are now allowed to operate till 10 PM in the state. Around 400 people can attend any public event, happening in an open space. Non-AC and private transport can now operate with 100 percent capacity. While AC buses can run with 75 percent capacity, with mandatory vaccination of driver and conductor with at least first dose.

 

The state has even allowed celebration of the Ganesh Utsav in public, but the clause is that the idol cannot be of more than 4 feet of height.

 

On Wednesday, the state recorded only 28 cases with no deaths related to coronavirus.
