Haryana's Home and Health Minister Anil Vij has been admitted to a Chandigarh hospital after his oxygen levels dipped.
He was admitted to Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh Sunday evening on the advice of a panel of doctors.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar enquired about the health of Vij.
The 68-year-old Bharatiya Janata Party leader is under the supervision of doctors led by a pulmonary and respiratory medicine specialist, hospital sources said.
"They are conducting tests to ascertain why oxygen levels are dropping," Vij said, adding, "PGIMER Director Jagat Ram was also here a short while ago. All doctors of this premier institute are taking good care of me."
Vij had attended the cremation of CM Khattar's younger brother in Rohtak last week. He suspected that high altitude during the chopper ride to be the cause behind the drop in his oxygen levels.
