Jammu and Kashmir: Massive fire at chemical factory in Udhampur; IAF called in

It has taken almost three hours in order to fully extinguish the fire

In a tragic incident, a massive fire had broken out at a chemical factory in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur. The fire broke at late night on May 27, 2021 at around 12.30 am.


The fire catches at the factory of Dhanuka Agritech Limited. Eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot but was unable to douse the fire. Following this, the Air Force was called in along with fire tenders from defence forces were also rushed in for dousing the fire.


The videos and pictures surfaced on internet has shown huge engulfing flames all over the chemical factory.


It was really a difficult task as according to the IAF officers it has taken almost three hours in order to fully extinguish the fire.


The further details are still awaited. It is being suspected that short circuit may be the reason, however, the matter is under investigation.
