Jammu and Kashmir's Gulmarg in Baramulla district, received the season's first snowfall on Saturday morning.
Gulmarg, one of Asia's premier hill resorts, is known for its legendary beauty, exquisite valleys, and gorgeous streams. It is one of the best skiing destinations in Kashmir, famous across the globe for its suitable skiing slopes that attract ski lovers from across the world.
Apart from the region, Sonamarg, Pahalgam, Shopian, and Gurez areas of the valley also received moderate snowfall delighting the residents of these places. Light snowfall has also been reported from some areas in Pulwama and Kulgam districts of J&K.
Meanwhile, the lower part of the valley are witnessing heavy rainfall since Friday night, the officials said. For the next 24 hours, the weatherman has forecasted rainfall. The minimum temperatures have also dropped throughout the valley. Jammu recorded 12.8 mm of rainfall.
