Kolkata's metro train timings increases for Pujo

The Railway Police Force & special station staff will manage crowd and take care of the security of the stations

Authorities of Kolkata Metro have reported that there will be an increase in the timing of its last metro leaving the station by 1:30 hours on the occasion of Durga Puja from 12 to 14 October.

 

For the occasion of Durga Puja, from Saptami to midnight on Nabami the timing of metro operations will be from 10 AM till 11 PM.

 

Manoj Joshi, Chairman, Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation said, "For the three main days of Puja, we have decided that we'll increase the timings of the last train by 1:30 hrs. Thus, the last train will leave at 11:00 pm."

 

Joshi also said that to tackle any unnecessary activities and for crowd management, officials have increased the frequency of trains in the evening which states that there will be metro trains running every five to six minutes.

 

The Railway Police Force & special station staff will manage the crowd and take care of the security of the stations. Officers will closely monitor from the Special control room which has been set up at Metro Bhawan.
