The sauce company, Heinz has introduced their new product to squeeze the most out of a packet and says it is the “biggest innovation in sauce since the packet itself.”
In the beginning of this month, the world’s largest producer of ketchup had announced its new product, called the Packet Roller.
The CNN reported that this ketchup bottle is shaped in gadget which allows users to squeeze the most out of a packet.
The Kraft Heinz website says, “Do not click ‘purchase’ unless you are prepared to change everything about the way you sauce.”
The ketchup roller pack is priced at USD 5.70 or rupees 422.
The new product is pocket-sized, can also be added to a keychain which also features a packet corner cutter.
Steve Cornell, the President of Kraft Heinz’s US grocery business unit says that announcement can be part of the fast-tracked, “future-focused culinary and packaging innovations” and had also hinted earlier this year amidst a shortage of ketchup.
The report said that the rise in takeout and delivery of food orders during the Covid-19 pandemic had led to a scarcity of ketchup packets.
In April, 2021 the company has pledged to increase the production capacity of ketchup by 25 percent to 12 billion packets annually.
