Lockdown extended at Tamil Nadu with relaxations till Feb 28

TN govt has allowed schools to re-open and 50% occupancy is permitted for the audience in sports tournaments

Tamil Nadu government had extended the lockdown with relaxations guidelines till February 28 to contain the Covid-19 situation in the state. According to the fresh SOP released by the Tamil Nadu government stated that classes can commence for 9 to 11th standard students from February 8 in the state. Classes for UG and PG departments can also commence from February 8.
 
TN govt has allowed schools to re-open and 50% occupancy is permitted for the audience in sports tournaments. The notification also stated that only 50 per cent occupancy is allowed in closed areas for marriage, political and religious events. Swimming pool access to public can be provided.
 
Tamil Nadu government has confirmed allowing 100% seating capacity in cinema halls from February 1st, 2021. The TN govt had earlier increased occupancy limit from 50% to 100 only for Pongal releases. The Federal Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has issued standard guidelines to be followed while watching the films. Visitors will have to wear their masks and makes sure to cover their face while sneezing inside the auditorium. Hand sanitizers should be placed and to be used by everyone while entering and leaving cinema halls. Number of people in the elevators shall be restricted, duly maintaining physical distancing norms. Efforts shall be made to avoid overcrowding in the common areas, lobbies and washrooms during the intermission.
 
 Audience are be encouraged to avoid movement during the intermission. Longer intermissions may be used to allow audience seated in different rows. These things are tried to be avoided.
