Man leads dual lives for five years

The two men were booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Both of them were arrested and sent to jail on Saturday

In a bizarre incident a man in Uttar Pradesh, had been living dual lives for the last five years.


Anil Kumar, since 2016 had been working as a constable and as a government teacher. But this forgery has been busted after a caller alleged that Anil's identity was being used by another man in the Thakurdwara police station in Moradabad.


The police then summoned Anil, who was posted with a public response vehicle (PRV) of the Dial 112 unit, reached the police station in his uniform with the PRV driver.


When cops asked Anil about his personal information. Anil told the cops that he hailed from Muzaffarnagar, became a police constable in 2011, after training at the Bareilly Police Line, his father was Sukhpal Singh. Anil had no answer when he was asked the

 

After preliminary checking cops were shocked to find that the photograph in the documents did not match with Anil. Further investigation exposed that the man in the photograph was Sunil Kumar, Anil's brother-in-law.


In a filmy spot, Anil and Sunil knew each other since they were in Class 12. In 2016, when Anil passed the teachers' test, he asked Sunil to replace him as he wanted to complete his B.Ed degree. To avoid his incongruities from being caught, Anil took a transfer to Moradabad and started working as a primary school teacher in Muzaffarnagar and got married to Sunil's sister in 2017. Anil and Sunil continued to work until they were busted on Thursday.
