Nagpur: man rapes 7 year old in school toilet, held

Accused was produced in a local court, which remanded him in three days of police custody

Another heinous crime against women had taken place, this time in Nagpur. A seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a man in the toilet of a school at Kondhasawali village in Katol tehsil on Saturday evening.


The accused, identified as Ankush Bhoskar (25) has been arrested. The girl was playing on a school ground when the accused forcibly took her inside the school toilet, raped her there and also threatened if she told about it to anyone. A villager passing by heard scream of the girl and then rescued her but the accused managed to flee.


The accused was later arrested by police and FIR under IPC sections 376 (a) (b) (punishment for rape on woman under twelve years of age), 506 (criminal intimidation) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act by Katol police was lodged. He was produced in a local court, which remanded him in three days of police custody.
