Need to go for sex: Man's bizarre e-pass request leaves police stunned

As corona is surging in India, many states have put restriction and lockdown where people are required to apply for an e-pass to step outside of their homes in case of an emergency.


Every day, authorities are receiving thousands of e-pass applications from citizens. While most are genuine, some are hilarious. Recently, one bizarre request was received by Kerala police recently.


A resident of Irinave in Kannur's Kannapuram in his e-pass application said that he wanted to "go for sex" in the evening at a place in Kannur. When the police saw the unusual reason in the application, the Assistant Commissioner of Police was informed.


Valapattanam police were instructed to locate the person. When he was taken to the police station and questioned about the reason mentioned on the application, he said that the letter was misspelt.


The man apologised and said that he was actually intended to write "six o'clock' as he wanted to go out at that time. When he submitted the application he not seen the mistake. The police released him as the reason mentioned on the request was by mistake.
