On his 3 day visit to Pakistan, Pak foreign minister addressed the public at Muzaffarbad in Pok and claimed that India has violated International law.
He added "India cannot suppress the voice of Kashmiris through a conference. By violating the UN resolution, it is not possible for India to play an effective role in the world".
As far as any meaningful engagement is concerned with our Indian counterparts, our position remains unchanged. Until India revokes the actions it took on August 5, 2019, Pakistan is not in a position to engage India bilaterally," he said, during a press conference on the sidelines of the summit.
"Organising international events in Srinagar shows India’s arrogance. When the time comes, we will respond in a manner that India will always remember," he added.
In response, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar launched a sharp attack on the Pakistani foreign minister and called him a “promoter, justifier and a spokesperson” of the terror industry. He slammed the neighbouring nation for raising objections to India hosting the G20 meet in Srinagar.
"They have nothing to do with the G-20, nothing to do with even Srinagar and Kashmir. They should answer when they vacate the illegally occupied territories of Jammu and Kashmir," S Jaishankar said at the SCO meet earlier this month.
