People celebrate Holi with 'ashes' and 'gulal' at Varanasi's Manikarnika Ghat

It raises concern as none of them following protocol

Amid rise of corona cases in the country, the citizens not let down the spirit of festivals in the country. The devotees on March 25 gathered at ManikarnikaGhat and smeared each other with ash and dry colours/ gulal and burning pyres as a part of Celebration. 

The ‘aarti’ of Baba Mashananath was performed at the Great Hall. Devotees of Bhole chanted ‘HarHarMahadev.’ This year Holi will be celebrated on March 29 and HolikaDahan will be held on March 28.

The video has surfaced on the internet but it also  raises concerns among the health experts and others as people are not following Covid norms. None of the people are wearing masks or maintaining social distancing at a time when coronavirus infections are already on a rise across the state as well as country.
