PM Modi mistakenly said 'COVID cases should increase rapidly in India'

A YouTube user wrote, "What a slip of the tongue." Another wrote "Are the current cases not enough?"

PM Modi was virtually interacting with the District Magistrate (DMs) regarding the recent COVID-19 situation in the country, where a slip of tongue has raised eyebrows to the netizens after it went viral on Internet. The meeting video was uploaded online on May 18, after which it receive massive backlashes.


Chief Ministers of different states were also seen participating in the same event. PM Modi towards the end of the meeting, mistakenly said, "COVID-19 positive cases should increase rapidly."


After which the comments keep on flooding to the video, a YouTube user wrote, "What a slip of the tongue." Another wrote "Are the current cases not enough?"


Another comment criticizing stated “This is what happens, when you just read script given by somebody and you have no idea what the shit it is all about. This just gives us clear idea, how much knowledge Modi has of Corona, it's equal to zero. All he does is read the script which Modi has no idea what he is talking.”
