Prakash Parv celebrated at Golden Temple with captivating fireworks

Guru Ram Das was the fourth of the ten Gurus of Sikhism

The auspicious occasion of the Prakash Parv of Guru Ramdas ji was celebrated at the Golden Temple in Amritsar in a grand festive way. Guru Ram Das was the fourth of the ten Gurus of Sikhism and he was born on 24 September 1534 and was credited for making the holy city of Amritsar.

The teachings of the forth guru are remembered through lights in the gurdwara and because of this special occasion the sky is also illuminated by fireworks. 

This year, the Golden Temple saw the largest gathering of devotees since last year and around 1.5 lakh came. Elaborate arrangements were made by the authorities to mark the occasion. 

Fireworks were busted by the devotees to mark the occasion and the whole temple was covered with lights. This is the first time after the pandemic, that the Sikhs were able to celebrate any major festivals following the Covid-19 regulations.
