President Ram Nath Kovind has undergone a successful bypass surgery at AIIMS in Delhi. Kovind was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for a planned bypass procedure.
In a statement issued by Rashtrapati Bhavan it is said that his health condition is stable and he is under the care of experts.
Following discomfort and complaint of chest pain he was undergoing a health check-up at the Army Hospital (R&R). He was under a routine check-up and is under observation in the hospital.
He has been visited by defence Minister Rajnath Singh during his stay to Army hospital.
