Priyanka Gandhi detained in UP

This is the second time in the month Priyanka Gandhi has been detained in Uttar Pradesh

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday has been detained by Uttar Pradesh police after she was stopped from travelling to Agra to meet the family of a sanitation worker who allegedly died in police custody after being arrested in connection with a theft of Rs 25 lakh from a warehouse on October 17.

This is the second time in the month Priyanka Gandhi has been detained in Uttar Pradesh.

Her car had been stopped at the first toll plaza on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway.

Amid the chaos, several women police officers rushed to take selfies with the political leader, a day after Congress had announced reserving 40 per cent tickets for women candidates ahead of 2022 assembly polls.

As soon as Priyanka's convoy was stopped, scores of Congress leaders resorted to sloganeering against the Yogi Adityanath government and created ruckus.
