Rahul Bhat Killing: Kashmiri Pandit Govt employees submit mass resignation letter to J&K LG

J&K: Over 350 government employees in the Kashmir valley, all Kashmiri Pandits, have submitted their resignation letters to J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today, a day after their colleague, Rahul Bhat, was murdered by terrorists. The Pandits said they didn’t feel safe.


Government employees and families of Kashmiri Pandits held a protest against the administration in Budgam today over the targeted killing of Rahul Bhat.


Meanwhile, A Special Investigation Team has been formed to investigate the death of Kashmiri pandit Rahul Bhat, who was shot dead by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam district yesterday. Amid shock over the killing and outrage against the Central government, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha tweeted about the formation of the SIT. The J&K government has also promised a government job to the victim’s wife.


According to sources, Three terrorists died in an encounter that broke out in Brar Aragam area of Bandipora in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. Two of the three were involved in the attack on Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhat on Thursday.
