Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is decked-up to visit Jammu on Thursday, said the Union Territory's Congress vice-president and former minister Raman Bhalla.
"Rahul Gandhi will begin his visit on September 9. He would straightaway head towards Katra where he will pay obeisance at the holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi. After receiving the blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi, Rahul Gandhi would participate in political programmes in Jammu on September 10. He is scheduled to address the party workers and leaders in Jammu", Raman Bhalla said a leading media house.
The Congress is hopeful that Rahul's visit to Jammu will act as a major "morale boosting" for a faction-ridden party.
Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party took a jibe at the Congress and said Rahul's visit would only strengthen the saffron party in Jammu and Kashmir.
