Singer Sidhu Moose Wala got threats from gangsters, his mother blames Punjab government

Punjabi singer-turned Congress leader Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead in Jawaharke village of Mansa district on Sunday

In an interview with India Today, Singer Mika Singh disclosed that Sidhu Moose Wala received numerous threats from gangsters. 

Mika Singhs revelation came after Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead this evening. 

Four years ago he used to talk about threats from gangsters, Mika Singh said to India Today TV, Some gangsters might have tried to extort money from him this time. 

He also added, Just last week he came to Mumbai. He told me that he could roam freely in Mumbai, without any security. 

I asked him to move to Mumbai in the future. According to the official report, popular singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead by Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar on Sunday. 

After this brutal killing in broad daylight, his mother demanded justice for her son and blamed the state government for the hapless death of her son. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann condemned this brutal attack on singer Sidhu Moose Wala and said those involved in the murder won't be spared. "I am shocked and deeply saddened by the gruesome murder of Sidhu Moosewala. Nobody involved will be spared. 

My thoughts and prayers are with his family and his fans across the world. I appeal everyone to stay calm," Punjab CM posted on Twitter. Popular singer Sidhu Moose Wala had contested this year's Punjab assembly election on a Congress ticket from Mansa and was defeated by Vijay Singla, AAP candidate by a big margin of 63,000 votes. 

Vijay Singla, AAP leader was recently suspended by Punjab CM over charges of corruption.
