UNION HOME MINISTER AMIT SHAH STATED THAT HISTORIC SHAFT ' SENGOL' TO BE PLACED AT NEW PARLIAMENT BUILDING

Historical Sceptre 'Sengol' will get installed in the New parliament building

On Monday, Union Home minister Amit Shah declared that PM Modi will inaugurate new parliament building on May 28.
   
He also told that PM Modi will also hail to 60000 construction workers who were associated with the construction of the building.
   
Sengol', a historical sceptre from Tamil Nadu, which was received by first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru to represent transfer of power from the British and was kept in a museum in Allahabad will be installed in the new Parliament.
     
PM Modi will place the Sengol next to the Lok Sabha Speaker’s seat after he inaugurates the Parliament building.
     
The home minister said that the transfer of power is not merely a handshake or signing a document and that it must remain connected with local traditions keeping in mind modern needs.
