UP Floods : 22 districts reeling under flood, CM Yogi takes stock of situation

Chief Minister Yogi had directed nodal officers be posted in all flood-hit villages

 

Heavy downpour over the last few days in Uttar Pradesh (UP) has created floods or flood-like situations in many districts as the increased in the water levels of the rivers Yamuna, Ganga, Betwa, Sharda, Kuwano, and Chambal.

 

At present, there are 22 districts of Uttar Pradesh which are affected by the floods and the relief work is underway.

 

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a meeting with officials to review the relief work in the state and closely monitoringthe situation.

 

Press Trust of India had reported UP Chief Minister directed nodal officers be posted in all flood-hit villages.

 

The Chief Minister Yogi said relief goods will be distributed immediately to the affected citizens and boats should be stationed in all the affected villages and an adequate number of flood posts should be set up and helpline numbers will be issued to the people.

 

An aerial survey of the flood-hit areas of Hamirpur and Jalaun districts was conducted by the UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday.
