Lucknow schools, colleges closed till April 15 due to Covid-19

However, the institutes related to medical education can remain open during this time

Several cities of Uttar Pradesh have already imposed night curfew to contain the spread of coronavirus, which is surging the states. Only the essential commodities transport, medical and few other government are exempted from it.


Due to the surging cases of the deadly virus, the government had taken another decision that all the educational institutes in Lucknow, including schools and colleges will be closed till April 15, as per the order of the city administration. Lucknow witnessing the rapid spread of COVID-19 pandemic in the past few days.


However, the institutes related to medical education can remain open during this time as pandemic situation has increased the demand for medical professionals.


For student of UP Board who are having their board exam of class 10 and 12, the dates will be revised. Meanwhile, the board exams 2021 in Uttar Pradesh have been postponed by two weeks, as per the official website of the board. The board exams were earlier scheduled to be conducted from April 24 but now will commence from May 8. The exams will be over on May 28, 2021.


The UP class 12 board exams will be conducted in two shifts, the morning shift from 8 am to 11:15 am and the evening shift from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. The details can be found at the website upmsp.edu.in.
