"A total of 3006 session sites across all States and UTs will be virtually connected during the launch. Around 100 beneficiaries will be vaccinated at each session site on the inaugural day," PMO said.

The two approved vaccines: Covishield by Serum Institute and Covaxin by Bharat Biotech: are ready to be administered. The initial 16.5 million doses of the vaccines have been shipped across the country.
In the first phase, nearly 3 crore healthcare and frontline workers, people aged above 50 and those with comorbidities will receive the vaccine doses. The vaccination session is from 9 am to 5 pm. whoever comes till 5 pm will be vaccinated after 5 pm, just like how it happens in elections.
The vaccination process will use CO-WIN, an online digital platform that will provide real-time updates about the inoculation process. The app has been developed by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and will track the drive from the back-end to beneficiaries. CO-WIN will be made accessible for public within a month. The government has also introduced a dedicated 24X7 helpline number 1075 to resolve queries related to the vaccine rollout and the Co-WIN software.
The vaccines will be administered free of cost to everyone across the country.
