The 67-year-old minister, who is also in charge of state home ministry has tweeted this:- "I have been tested Corona positive. I am admitted to Civil Hospital Ambala Cantt. All those who have come in close contact with me are advised to get themselves tested for corona’. He has symptoms of sore throat, fever, and body ache.
According to news agency ANI, he was administered a dose of Covaxin at a hospital in Ambala, as a part of its-third phrase trial.
Bharat Biotech, the manufacturer of Covaxin explains, ‘the trials are based on a 2-dose schedule, given 28 days apart. The efficacy of the vaccine will be determined 14 days post the 2nd dose. Covaxin has been designed to be efficacious when subjects receive both doses’.
Meanwhile, the UK became the first country to approve COVID-19 Vaccine for public use. The UK Department of Health and Social Care has stated that vaccines developed jointly by American drug maker Pfizer and German Biotech will be made available for the public. The Medicines and Healthcare Product Regulatory Agency said that it will be safe to roll out. The studies have shown it has 85% efficacy ratings. According to the statement of Health minister Matt Hancock, the vaccination would be starting by early next week.
