A nurse mistakenly injected an entire vial of the vaccine to an Italian women instead of just one dose on Sunday.
Now the women is being monitored in hospital after inadvertently receiving six doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech's COVID-19 vaccine. The 23-year-old woman is now under observation in Massa, central Tuscany, after the mistake.
As per as the observation still now she was in good condition after receiving fluids and paracetamol following the injection.
Previous studies to test overdoses of the Pfizer vaccine were limited to just four doses. So there is no past knowledge of a person being given six doses and that’s why the patient is being kept under close observation.
