In a matter of relief to the rising corona cases around the country, the central government on Saturday 17th April had declared that the price of the Remdesivir injection is being reduced.
The order has been issued by the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilisers, National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) under the Department of Pharmaceuticals where advisor Vinod Kotwal has announced the news.
Along with the surge of COVID India has also been dealing with huge shortage of injection, black marketing etc, where the administration has taken measures to curb it. Due to all the conundrum even the prices went up to Rs 35,000 and people were complaining about it from all over the country.
Now, the authority had declared change in prices for seven brands of Remdesivir injections of potency 100mg per vial.
Cadila healthcare price reduced from Rs 2800 to Rs 899, the Syngene Biocon injection price reduced from Rs 3950 to Rs 2450. Whereas Reddy’s Lab Redyx price reduced from Rs 5400 Rs 2700.
Cipla Company’s Remdesivir with name Cipremi has slashed from Rs 4000 to Rs 3000. Mylan Pharma’s Desrem reduced from Rs 4800 to Rs 3400. Jubilant generics drug Jubi’s price has slashed from Rs 4700 to Rs 3400. Hetero healthcare’s Covifor reduced from Rs 5400 to Rs 3490.
