Yogi Adityanath gets first dose of COVID vaccine

He also asked people to take all precaution as COVID-19 cases are rising again

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine at the Civil Hospital Lucknow on Monday morning.


After taking the vaccine the CM tweeted in Hindi “Today I have taken first dose of ''swadeshi'' coronavirus vaccine at Lucknow's Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Civil Hospital. I appeal to all those eligible to take vaccine to make UP ''Corona Free''. Come, we all contribute in the fight against the coronavirus."


He also asked people to take all precaution as COVID-19 cases are rising again. He also said that "The new COVID wave is the result of our complacency in observing COVID appropriate behaviour."


The CM has also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Health Ministry for making vaccine available free of cost. He thank scientists of the country and ensures that vaccine is completely safe.


Meanwhile Uttar Pradesh Covid death toll rose to 8,881 as of Sunday with 31 more mortalities in the state while the state sees a surge of 4,164 fresh cases.
