Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Tanmay Ghosh from Bishnupur has joined the West Bengal's ruling Trinamool Congress today. On returning to the Mamata Banerjee-led party, Ghosh added several allegations against the saffron party.
He said the saffron party does the politics of vengeance. They are trying to take away the rights of the people of Bengal using central agencies.
''I urge all politicians to support CM Mamata Banerjee for public welfare,'' Ghosh added.
The Trinamool Congress tweeted that inspired by Mamata's development work, Ghosh joined the Trinamool family. "We warmly welcome him. " Welcoming Ghosh to the party, state education minister Bratya Basu said BJP is trying to take revenge from TMC after the elections.
He said, "We will fight with the BJP politically. BJP is trying to make the people of West Bengal look inferior.'' Basu said several BJP leaders are in touch with the TMC.
