BJP's Shivprakash launches 'NRI4Sonarbangla' campaign in Kolkata

The event witnessed NRI’s from 14 different Countries via video conference, whereas over 40 NRIs were present physically during the event.

In a bid to restore the glory of 'Aamaar Sonar Bangla,' a campaign named 'NRI4Sonarbangla' was officially launched in Kolkata on Thursday (April 8), by Bharatiya Janata Party's National joint General Secretary (Organisation) Shivprakash.


The senior leader kick-started the digital and on-ground campaign, which focuses on engaging the Non-resident Bengalis across the world to work directly for the saffron party during the season of Election.


“We all are dreaming about Sonar Bangla, which is a Bengal of our dream and after this election as the NRI Bengalis who have done so well in their professional lives will contribute towards the making of Sonar Bangla,” said Shivprakash.


Making it more convenient, a website has been launched which will enable all Bengalis to join the campaign.


The event, held at Kolkata's Hotel Hindustan International, witnessed NRI’s from 14 different Countries via video conference, whereas over 40 NRIs were present during the launch physically.


Among them, Dr Indranail Basu (renowned doctor USA), Kanchan Banarjee (Entrepreneur, Boston) and Biswajit (New York) also expressed their views and thoughts on Sonar Bangla.


The programme turned out be successful with the coordination of Animesh Biswas, an IT Professional and part of team NRI4SonarBangla.
