A new ground of dispute between Bharatiya Janata Party and Trinamool Congress seems to be ready. West Bengal is constantly under the scanner for the horrific post-poll violence after the assembly elections.
In a new attack, BJP's national convener of the IT cell Amit Malviya alleged that worker's mute wife in Bengal’s Howrah district was brutally gang-raped by local leaders and activists of the Trinamool Congress. This sensational incident in Howrah district of West Bengal has shaken the entire state. The saffron party worker in Howrah has filed a police complaint alleging the same.
Malviya, in a post on Twitter, alleged that the 34-year-old wife of a BJP worker was tied up and gang-raped by TMC workers in Bagnan area of Howrah district. However, dismissing all the claims, TMC said it was with the victim’s family and demanded that the culprits be punished.
Police said they arrested two of the five people named in the FIR on Monday. A search has been launched to nab three others who were allegedly involved in the incident. The incident took place on Saturday night when the woman’s husband and elder son were not present at home.
Meanwhile, the woman is currently undergoing treatment at Uluberia Super Specialty Hospital and a police team has been deployed in front of her house.
