He described the Parliament as temple of democracy and stressed on the fact that it reflects the soul of the nation and belongs to the people of India and all political parties. He also stated that his party YSRCP would attend the ceremony, demonstrating their commitment to upholding the principles of democracy.
He condemns 19 other opposition party's decision of not to attend the inauguration ceremony and showed his disappointment by stating that boycotting such a significant and "auspicious event" goes against the true spirit of democracy.
He requested oppositions to change their decision and get unified and take part in the one of the most important historical moment of the nation.

Earlier, Union Home minister Amit Shah announced that PM Modi will inaugurate the newly constructed Parliament building. Various opposition leaders including Rahul Gandhi of CONGRESS party, AAP leader and TMC party's MP Mr Brian censured Saffron party's decision of not to invite President of India for this ceremony and called it 'vanity project'
