"The PM is a coward who cannot stand up to the Chinese. He is spitting on the sacrifice of our army. He is betraying the sacrifice of our army. Nobody in India should be allowed to do it," Rahul said while addressing a press conference from Congress headquarters in Delhi.
Reacting to his remarks, MoS home G Kishan Reddy said Rahul must "ask his grandfather (Nehru) about who has given India's territory to China."
"He must ask his grandfather (Jawaharlal Nehru) about who has given India's territory to China, he will get the answer.. Who is a patriot and who is not, the public knows it all," said Reddy.
Union minister RK Singh said Rahul Gandhi's statement is both unparliamentarily and immature. "He neither understands anything nor does he put an effort to understand things. I think his statement is both unparliamentarily and immature," Singh added.
The Congress leader's comments come after India and China reached an agreement on disengagement in the North and South bank of Pangong lake in eastern Ladakh.
