Ration allowance of forest guard's increase from Rs 1200 to Rs 2000

The decision was taken by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on during the assessment of flood preparations at Kaziranga

For the wellbeing, the Assam government has increased the monthly ration allowance for forest guard from Rs 1200 to Rs 2000 as per govt. order dated June 8. The decision was taken by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on during the assessment of flood preparations at Kaziranga.


Chief Minister took to Twitter on June 13 to inform “Forest guards play a key role in ensuring animal safety. During flood preparations review at Kaziranga, a decision was taken to increase their ration allowance. Happy to share that ration allowance has been raised from Rs 1200 to Rs 2000 per month, at par with police personnel”.


The govt. order on tweet reads: “The Governor of Assam is pleased to enhance the ration allowance paid to Assam Forest Protection Force personnel from the rank of Followers to Inspectors from the existing Rs.1200 to Rs.2000 per month with effect from the month of June, 2021”
