UP polls: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra promises free medical treatment up to Rs 10 lakh

This comes days after when Priyanka announced of giving 40 per cent of tickets to women in the upcoming UP polls.

 

In a yet another big announcement ahead of the much-awaited 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra declared free medical treatment of up to Rs 10 lakh to the people of the state if her party is voted to power.

 

Taking to her official Twitter handle, she said, "Everyone saw the dilapidated condition of the health system of UP due to government neglect during the Corona period and now during the spread of the fever. For ensuring good and cheap treatment, with the consent of the manifesto committee, the UP Congress has decided that if voted to power, our government will provide up to Rs 10 lakh for treatment of any disease."

 

This comes days after when the Congress general secretary announced thar her party would give 40 per cent of tickets to women in the upcoming UP polls.

 

It also, notably, came on a day when PM Narendra Modi inaugurated nine medical colleges in the poll-bound state.

Both Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress can been seen giving neck-to-neck fight in terms of making 'poll-promises' and pre-poll developments. For now, all eyes are on UP polls to see who will snatch the throne this time
