UP exports to be extended to 31 countries

The department of MSME on Wednesday, lauded 65 exporters for their contribution to the total exports from the Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh's Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) Minister Sidharth Nath Singh has said that hundred products have been identified in over 15 sectors and exports from the state will now be extended to 31 countries.

 

Minister Sidharth Nath Singh said that a Saarthi application will also be launched for exporters to resolve their problems as well as a separate application will be prepared for export products.

 

The MSME department, on Wednesday evening, praise 65 exporters across the state for their contribution to the total exports from the Uttar Pradesh.

 

The event marked the peak of the two-day state level commerce gala that was organised by MSME and export promotion departments, in association with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), in Lucknow.

 

Singh distributed the awards to 34 exporters for their remarkable contribution in 2019-20 and 31 exporters for their contribution in 2020-21.

 

Singh also said that to make India a net export nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also set certain goals for which the state will make all possible efforts to realise the goal.

 

The MSME Minister said, "The world economy is going to undergo changes in the coming days and India will leave China behind in terms of economy and become a part of the global supply chain. "

 

He also said that in this financial year, Uttar Pradesh will increase exports from rupees 3 lakh crore to rupees 5 lakh crore.

 

He added that the government is in the view of giving subsidies on air freight for the products that are manufactured in the state.

 

MSME Minister, Sidharth Nath Singh informed that Uttar Pradesh's exports have jumped from rupees 80,000 to rupees 1.25 lakh crore.
