UP Govt to build its first handicraft park

This park will provide to showcase every state district has at least one special product that is specialized to its identity

The UP state government announced to build the first handicrafts park at Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) in Sector 29.

 

As per to a state government's official, a total number of 76 industrialists have secure land at the park spread over an area of 50 acres to set up their factories at the cost of rupees s 403 crore.

 

These factories will provide permanent employment to approximately 22,144 people.

 

This handicrafts park of Uttar Pradesh will feature workshops, factories and outlets making, showcasing & retailing the wide range of handicrafts in the state to the domestic and global visitors.

 

The park will focus on conserving the traditional crafts, providing employment to thousands of artisans of the state and encourage the sector of handicrafts that will contribute to the state's economy.

 

This park will provide to showcase every state district has at least one special product that is specialized to its identity.

 

This handicraft park will also showcase their craftsmanship to the world and also enables people to get all famous handicrafts of the state under the same roof.

 

It will also provide a giant market for these products, which will boost UP's handicrafts business.

 

This handicraft park is located near the upcoming Jewar airport which will facilitate exports.

 

It is noteworthy that the CM Yogi Adityanath government's schemes seek to promote both local artisans and local handicrafts and artworks.
