Kareena Kapoor's 'Pregnancy Bible' falls into trouble

A complaint filed against the actor for hurting religious sentiments over book 'Pregnancy Bible'

A Christian group in Maharashtra has objected the title of a book written by actor Kareena Kapoor Khan and filed a police complaint against it in Beed city of Maharashtra against her and two others on Wednesday.


The group accused them of hurting religious sentiments of the community. President Ashish Shinde of Alpha Omega Christian Mahasangh, Maharashtra had submitted the complaint at the Shivaji Nagar Police Station.


President Shinde has referred to the title of the book, 'Pregnancy Bible', authored by Kareena Kapoor Khan and Aditi Shah Bhimjani, and published by Juggernaut Books in his complaint.


President Shinde said "The holy word Bible has been used in the book's title and had hurt the religious sentiments of Christians" and has sought registration of a case under IPC section 295-A .


Inspector Sainath Thombre of Shivaji Nagar Police Station said that they have received the complaint but no case can be registered here as the incident has not happened in Beed.


Kareena Kapoor Khan launched her book on July 9 and called her third child. The actress gave birth to her second child in February this year and also shared a series of posts to promote the book on social media.


Kareena will next be seen in Laal Singh Chaddha co-starring Aamir Khan in the lead role and Karan Johar's period drama, Takht .
