Guruvayur is one of the famous pilgrim town of Kerala, known for its famous Guruvayur Temple a temple dedicated to Lord Krishna or to Lord Guruvarurappam. The temple has its roots to Mahabharata when Janmajeya, the son of Parikshit vow to kill all snakes including Takshaka which cause his father death. Panachikkadu Temple, also known as the Dakshina Mookambika Temple, is a Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Saraswati in Kottayam. Vishnu is also worshipped here. How to reach

Kochi Airport is nearest airport to Guruvayur. From Chennai, Thrissur or from any big city it can be easily reached. Kottayam is also well connected by roads, one can hire car, also State Road Transport Corporation buses are available.
