Amazon Prime Video has now announced that they have partnered with eight other streaming services. They wanted to provide an expanded content library on its platform in the market of growing competition.
They released Prime Video Channels, which will now offer various new content and shows from its counterparts like Lionsgate Play, discovery+, Eros Now, hoichoi, Docubay, MUBI, Manorama Max, and Shorts TV.
These OTT platforms will provide its subscribers the option for an add-on subscriptions on Amazon Prime Video app so that users can access the content of these streaming services.
The company wants to make Amazon Prime Video as the most preferred entertainment destination in India and so the launch of Prime Video Channels will pave the road for their destination.
Chaitanya Divan, Head of Prime Video Channels, Amazon Prime Video said, "Prime Video Channels arrives in India after having successfully launched in 11 countries. Our choice of OTT partners for Prime Video Channels is reflective of our diverse and discerning customers’ entertainment needs and interest areas."
The platforms like Lionsgate, MUBI and Eros Now will serve the audience with all new blockbuster and quality cinema. While the discovery+ will view wildlife, adventure, science, food, lifestyle content and other contents.
According to reports, the yearly subscription for the eight OTT apps are Eros Now (Rs 299), Lionsgate Play (Rs 699), Manorama Max (Rs 699), MUBI (Rs 1999) and Shorts TV (Rs 299), Docubay (Rs 499), discovery+ (Rs 299). These platforms are also offering significant discounts for the prime members.
